Just Call Me: Trixie
Been In The Business For: Three - Four Years
Also Known As: Amber is my first character
Name: Amber Volakis
Nickname(s): People usually call Amber by her first name, but House is "kind" enough to refer to her using his made-up affectionate nickname, "Cutthroat Bitch"

Gender: Female
Occupation: Doctor (Radiologist)
Sexuality: Straight
Marital Status: Single (dates Wilson on Season 4)
Family: Unknown (but if you want, I can make something up)

Hair: Blonde, straight hair. Amber usually keeps it shoulder length, which causes it to be slightly up on the sides. On season 4, she changes the haircut, and lets her hair grow a little more.
Build: Amber is a little taller than most women, but nothing absurd. She is not the "hourglass" kind of woman, and she likes to be taller, since, sometimes, it feels like people respect the tall people more. She is well-built for her size.

Appearance:
Amber is the average looking thirty-two year-old looking woman. She doesn’t look either too young, or too old, she isn’t too beautiful or either too ugly. She is flat and plain, and she likes it. Amber’s face is as average is the rest of her body. Her skin is fair; sometimes even pale (this is something she doesn’t like about her appearance) except from when she is ashamed or excited about something. When that happens, like any normal human being, Amber blushes and her cheeks upper cheeks get very scarlet, usually more scarlet than other people’s. Her eyes are wide and light blue, her eyelashes are long. Amber’s eyebrows are slightly darker than her blonde straight hair, which she usually keeps shoulder-length. Because of the haircut, her hair tends to be slightly up on the sides. Amber’s nose is actually the part of her body she dislikes the most, since it is quite big when compared to her other face features. Her mouth is also wide, but not as disproportional as her nose.
Now, moving on to Amber’s clothing style. She prefers to be dressed like a professional woman, but nothing too extravagant. She’d rather wear more conservative clothes than miniskirts and short dresses. She actually wears some jewelry once in a while, but again, nothing too extravagant or that can draw too much attention. Amber isn’t really keen on make-up, but she wears it anyways.

Personality:
Amber can be a flat person when it comes of appearance, but she has got a quite strong personality. She is the kind of woman who everyone has heard something about, either good or bad (mostly bad when it comes to Amber), and she actually likes it a lot. Amber usually does everything she can to get herself known, to get her abilities known. And yes, that means she sometimes doesn’t follow the rules, but she usually does, unless she doesn’t agree with it. Amber is also quite stubborn and hotheaded. She throws a fit at anything or anyone if things didn’t go the way she planned.
When it comes of medicine, Amber is highly analytical, and that means she spends a lot of time wondering what the best thing that can be done. She is very intelligent and her capacity of diagnosing is quite noticeable (of course, she isn’t nearly as good as Dr. House). Amber is also dedicated and responsible, and she really enjoys attention. She is the kind that would rather be respected than loved, and, to get all the respect she wants. Amber is capable of doing anything. She is constantly trying to prove herself better than the people around her, and that’s because she has the tendency to think she is more intelligent than everyone around her. Amber is sometimes arrogant enough to think that she is brighter and smarter than Dr. House, even though she clearly isn’t.
People who have heard about Amber Volakis have certainly heard of the woman’s exaggerated ambition. Amber is certainly the most ambitious person someone is ever faded to meet. She has a lot of plans, lots of them seeming impossible, and she simply won’t rest until she archives everything she needs and wants.

History:
[I’ll focus more on the time Amber worked with House and so on, since her past was barely mentioned on the TV Series. Tell me if you want that to be changed]
Amber was born in a chilly January morning in Princeton, New Jersey. Since she was very young, her parents could notice that Amber would grow up to be very, very ambitious. And this “prediction” came true, of course. Amber got her degree in medicine, and decided that her first stable job had to be something big. That’s why she came up with the idea of applying for a work with one of the best diagnosticians in the country, that being Dr. Gregory House.
Even though she is highly intelligent and believed to have all the qualities that were necessary for this job, there were lots of doctors that were as capable as she was planning to get the spot. And, House being as… unpredictable as he was, decided to do it like a competition. Amber couldn’t be more excited, since she always loved challenges. And, besides, she believed this would be extra-easy, since she believed everyone else who was applying for the three open spots couldn’t be as intelligent and capable as she was. It was going to be a piece of cake, right?
Wrong. To begin with, the patients the applicants had to deal with usually had extremely rare conditions and illnesses, it couldn’t be harder to diagnose. Amber had to spend lots of night awake, trying to get the answer. And the applicants weren’t nearly as stupid as she judged them at first. Besides, there was the whole pressure House kept putting on them. If you didn’t know the answer, you were fired. If you got the wrong answer, you were fired as well. If you didn’t do anything, you were also fired. And, if House felt like firing someone, you are probably fired as well.
It was a tough competition, but Amber was slowly building her way to the top. She got almost fired two or three times, but she felt like she was going to have it. One of the spots would be hers, she was sure. But, even though she fiercely hoped to work with House (even though she didn’t like him from the moment he started calling her “Cutthroat Bitch”), Amber eventually was fired, and Drs. Thirteen, Kutner and Taub took the jobs she had always wanted. Amber got a job on another hospital, but of course, she still regrets deeply the fact that she couldn’t get to work with House.

Role Play Sample:
Nothing like a Saturday sunny afternoon, a broom, and a Quidditch Pitch. This was enough to light up anyone's day, and to prepare you for another boring week that was getting closer and closer by the second. Especially if you spent all the morning in the library, catching up all the homework. That's what Tessa had been doing since breakfast, and that's why no one, but the nerdy kids in the library, had seen her walking around the school as she usually did on Saturdays. Her grades were getting way-too bad to be ignored, and most of it had something to do with the fact that Tessa didn't have the ability of delivering homework on the right day. And, the previous night, she had promised herself she'd finish all the homework she had pending. Tessa regretted her promise the next morning, but, what should she do about it? She just spent all the morning in the library doing homework.
But, of course, she never finished all the homework. Tessa just finished the pending ones, the ones she had already started at some point of the week, and was too lazy to finish. That's what she promised herself, that she would finish all the pending homework. There were still lots of essays to do, but she didn't want to do them right now. No one deserves to be in the library doing homework on a sunny Saturday afternoon. Tessa made her way to the Spencer common room, and climbed up to the girl's dorm. She opened her trunk, put on some comfortable clothes, and made two braids with her hair. She picked up her broom, and rushed to the Quidditch Pitch.
Tessa never really liked sunny days. She loved so much more rainy or snowy afternoon, because she loved the cold. It meant.... Christmas! She loved it. But, if you are going to practice your Quidditch skills, rain isn't the best choice. This day was perfect for whoever likes to ride a broom. It was almost certain that there would be people on the Pitch already, maybe practicing, or maybe just enjoying the sunny afternoon.
Tessa was one of the first girls to arrive; she started flying around the pitch. She was the Spencer seeker, so she had lots of responsibility. The annoying thing was, the Quidditch season hadn't started yet, mostly because the teams weren't complete. Tessa was looking forward to the first real Qidditch game; she was tired of playing with herself and a tennis ball. That was how she practiced: Tessa usually walked to the middle of the pitch, and threw a charmed tennis ball up, then; she took off, and tried to get the tennis ball back to the ground. It was rather boring, and she didn't feel like it that one day. She'd rather fly around the pitch the fastest she could.
After some time flying around, Tessa couldn't help to notice that the Quidditch Pitch was starting to get crowded, and everyone was flying around, playing some sort of game Tessa could not recognize. She stopped flying, and looked around, trying to understand the logic of the game. Suddenly someone patted her on the shoulder, and, because she was distracted, she almost fell off the broom "Hey" she said, turning around to find a blonde girl she had seen around before. She was a Spencer, Tessa could tell because she always saw her on the common room. She was a hard to miss girl, since she always talked to everyone. Tessa admired the people who did it "What's this all about?" Tess asked, on the defensive. She was still a little scared because she almost fell off her broom.
