Samin walked into the hospital, and carefully pulled her lab coat over herself. She sighed as she watched the rest of the hospital, busy, and doing something important, was what she guessed everyone was doing. She still seemed to be the baby of the hospital, since she still looked to be in her teen years. She walked a little farther into the building, not wanting to feel the chill of the morning on her back.
She knew she had to ask Dr. House some questions, as he was head of the department that she was in. She imagined just going up and asking him. When she was finished, she felt she was ready to punch herself in the face. She knew she would feel horrible to make anyone mad, especially Dr. House. Oddly, not even a younger doctor struck her fancy, but House did. Maybe she liked Dr. Wilson as well, but that, she did not know.
When she heard what she thought was the sound of a cane, thumping on the floor she nearly panicked. She forgot to formulate what she was going to say, and was at a loss of words. She tried peeking around the corner to see if he was actually walking her way, but she had no idea.

The thumping noise of a cane hitting the floor marked House's definite approach to anyone who minded to listen. Of course, not many people other than Wilson, Cuddy, or his team minded to, but you get the idea. Judging by the tempo and the volume of the tapping, he was a man on a mission, which indeed was the case now. Gregory House was poised and ready for duty for the first time today, mainly because he had finally come up with a reasonable suspicion for his most recent case. Now all there was to do was humiliate his team into cooperating with his scheme. If things went as they usually did, that wouldn't be too much of a problem.
Random things, however, have a tendency to desire your attention when you want it elsewhere. Sometimes it's for your own good and sometimes it's a waste of time, but it's almost always annoying, especially if you're the cynical Head of Diagnostic Medicine. It's needless to say then what ran through House's mind when his cane caught on a certain female doctor's shoe when he attempt to round the corner.
Fortunately for both of them, he had caught the stumble before the elder of the two hit the ground. A quick reflex from the legs corrected the change in balance and saved him from an unwelcome face plant, which to most people would be a huge relief. To a cripple however, he had to wonder what would've hurt more in the end. The sudden burst of pressure on his leg sent a jolting blast of agony through his muscles, bringing on the expected sneer and buckling over to grasp the part of his thigh that now claimed the majority of his focus. And to think that it was just a dull throb a few seconds ago.
The very moment the pain lessened to a dull roar, he pulled himself upright to face the culprit. That trademark stare of his just got a whole lot nastier. His piercing blue eyes looked her up and down, almost unknowingly mocking the way someone would judge another person before taking out their frustration on them. To even think that House would bother to take an initial impression into his thoughts on how to react was laughable to everyone. He was going to say exactly what was on his mind to anyone, shy young woman or not.

When she realized that the cane thumping noise was indeed coming from Dr. House's cane, she nearly reared back in shock, and maybe fear. Most wouldn't have noticed the silent jolt of surprise from the female doctor, since it seemed that they were too busy to observe her shenanigans. She had wanted to back up, and dash away, since she had completely forgotten what she was going to say. Her face heated up a little, as she subconsciously held her breath.
Her heart beat a little faster as he was so close, and she was at a loss for words. She didn't want to miss her chance to talk to Dr. House, and she knew it would be awkward for her to visit his office. She was about to step forward to try getting House's attention, when House's cane caught on her shoe. She had forgotten that she was around the corner from him, and been stupid enough to put a foot forward, no matter what the old saying said.
Shock, worry, and fear struck Samin all at once as the doctor started to fall. She attempted to try and catch him as he fell, forgetting that her foot was caught with his cane. Her balance was disturbed as the cane forced her foot to move. The skirt she was wearing could have been a tad longer as she tripped, though. She lightly hit the ground with not so much as a loud thud. It would have hurt more, had Samin been paying attention to herself. She was actually looking up toward House, and seemed ready to catch him, if he fell, since he was bound to fall on her, if he did. But she just stared at him as he balanced himself. Then she worried as he buckled over to grasp his upper leg.
Samin stood up at once. "I-I-I am so sorry!" She exclaimed, barely able to say the sentence. She blinked as he looked up to stare at her, his piercing blue eyes seeming to see right through her. When she tried to direct her attention away from his stare, she felt the pain of her knee. She assumed that it had hit the tile. She then focused her attention back to his nasty stare, not wanting to be in pain. "I-Is there anything I could do? I-I-I.." She choked out, scared of what he would say next. Her stuttering was constant in the sentence, and she couldn't say the last one, just leaving it at 'I-I-I'. She found herself nearly shaking with fear, in front of the doctor.
Now was the time she wanted to punch her in the face. She just caused a huge accident, and pretty much thought she made Dr. House want to beat her to a bloody pulp. She made a small, meek noise as he continued to look her up and down.

The small "thud" of the woman hitting the ground could easily be compared to someone next to you being elbowed while your both in the middle of a mosh pit; It's their problem, not yours, and you've got your own possible pains to deal with anyway. Except, unlike a mosh pit, pain was something completely unavoidable for the cripple. So, it's pretty obvious that her fall barely even registered in his preoccupied mind. What did phase him however, was the itty bitty millisecond in which gravity and the woman's skirt combined to create a much liked result. (Well, at least on his end.) Thanks to the skirt's length, the moment was brief, but it was still a moment none the less. As she fell, her position was just right, and her panties became exposed to the man's eyes. At least there was a little relief in that fine second. Vicodin might be able to take care of at least a bit of the rest.
But, the scene continued, the moment ended, and the sensation in his thigh jolted him back to reality. The other victim in this mess seemed to bounce back up as quickly as she went down in House's opinion. The instant she did, a sudden slur of stutters and apologies lept into the air, only to be ignored. All he cared about was getting on with this.
After a second of analysis, something struck him. He had hired this woman at one point or another. By the looks of it, he had a feeling that it wasn't for her speaking skills or because she was convenient. House groaned as a name attacked his thoughts. Samin Edogawa, or something like that.
Gregory was forced to hold his tongue as he dwelled on returning to his normal standing position, rather than staying hunched over and looking pathetic. His spine straightened slowly as he willed himself to remove the pressure of his grip from around his throbbing muscle. He shifted his weight to lean on his cane, and promptly regained his pissed off composure. Unconsciously, he dipped his free hand into his pocket to fish for his pill bottle.
"Most people," he began in a low growl. His eyes barely left her face as he did so. "Tend to give the right away to a cripple. You could so me a favor. Conform," In mid sentence, he withdrew the orange bottle, but never got to opening it before he noticed one detail that made this day all the more terrible. The movement of his hand was more than enough to make the pills knock into each other and jiggle about, yet the sound of jiggling did not rear its welcoming head. Apparently, he hadn't realized that he was fresh out of medication. His expression expressed everything about his feelings right about now.
"I changed my mind," he groaned. "Get me a refill on my prescription. Then I'll consider calling it even,"

Samin was all the more worried when he was silent. She hated when there was a period of silence where no one would utter a word. She knew she wasn't going to. She was following this command in her head right now: 'Only speak when spoken to.' It didn't seem the best, but to Samin, anything was good. Well, as long as she didn't make Dr. House madder than he seemed right now. She watched him closely as he examined her, and his own pain, she presumed. She felt horrible. She knew it was her fault. Well, everyone did, for that matter.
She nearly jumped as she heard him groan. She thought it was a groan of pain, and since he nearly face-planted, that would explain things. But she was worried about how he would look at her now, and how he would hate her. Well, she thought he would have hated her anyways, after finding out how jittery she could be with things. She tried to just calm down in her head by letting go of her thoughts.
She watched helplessly as she saw him try to regain his normal posture, which she had disturbed greatly. Right now, she didn’t even think of the pain of her own. Normally, she just tolerated it and forgot. She was the kind of person to dwell on others, rather than herself. Like for example, if she got really hurt, and a friend the same, she would dismiss her wounds and care for her friend. She watched as Dr. House reached into his pocket, and Samin immediately thought gun. How he would fit one in his pocket so that it couldn’t be seen, Samin didn’t think about that. She never did.
As he started to speak, Samin became well alert, and dropped what she was thinking and doing at the moment, if she was actually doing much. When he said something about giving the right away to cripples, she was about to speak. She had no idea that Dr. House wasn’t finished, but good thing she closed her mouth right when he said ‘Conform’. She didn’t say anything, but was about to, right after she thought he was finished the sentence he had just started. Then, she saw him take a bottle of medicine out of his pocket. Of course it wasn’t a gun.
When he told her to get a refill on his prescription, she nodded subconsciously. “Of course!” She started to kind of limp away, limping due to the new pain in her knee. Then she realized something. She turned back to Dr. House.
“Er… Dr. House? Where might the pharmacy in here be? And which prescription?” She asked him.

House's simple lack of empathy most certainly did not have anything to do with a lack of observation. In fact, a lack of observation was the last thing that would be present, considering that it was probably at this point that the action was hurting Dr. Edogawa's reputation the most. The jittery, alert sense of posture looked more like it belonged on a frightened little rabbit looking a hungry fox right in the eye rather than a doctor looking at her angry boss. Sure, with a personality that made a chimpanzee seem like more pleasant company Gregory was more than used to seeing intimidation. This, however, was just sad. Although he had to admit that the sight of her automatically snapping to whatever he asked did manage to redeem part of his opinion on her so far.
It was a bit of a pleasant change to see at least one thing go his way today, but his hardly changing expression didn't reflect any of that. It still remained in a tight sneer at everything at the moment. The remaining sizzle of frustration still continued on, even as some people would take a sense of cruel justice as he watched the woman start to limp away. House finally managed to pull his physical wellbeing together long enough to attempt to limp after her. (Of course he wasn't going to let this clumsy underling walk away without getting what he wanted first.) However, he had to do everything in his power not to curse again when she stopped dead in her tracks, almost creating yet another collision. This time he was ready. It still didn't make matters much better though.
And then her questions spilled out. Patience was never really Greg's strongest suit in the first place, so of course he wasn't going to stop and think about how reasonable the question actually was. He merely rolled his eyes in an act of pure annoyance before looking her in the face.
"Maybe I should start drawing a map for every new doctor I hire," he sighed sarcastically. He took a few painful limps ahead of her to create a silent signal that he would lead the way. He continued to speak in his harsh tone without looking back at her. "And I need a Vicodin prescription after that little fiasco for my leg," The man knew well enough that there was no harm in getting his prescription. After all, he was in a lot of pain. Everyone knew that. That, and those who actually noticed his addiction had almost pretty much given up on lecturing him.
(OOC: Ugh. That was bland. That's the last time I let myself get that out of practice. Sorry.

OOC: OMG, I LIKED IT (Makes me squee) It actually sounds like House xD ic: As she turned, she saw Dr. House right behind her, having avoided crashing into her again. She blinked with confusion, as she had no idea that he would follow her to the destination. She was furious at herself, once again for nearly killing off her reputation all together. "Fuck! I did it again..." Was what she said under her breath, in a small mumble. She watched as he rolled his eyes. Samin knew his annoyance, and was scared. She REALLY didn't want to get fired on the first freaking day... That would definitely be her shortest job ever. Besides when she attempted to apply at a convenience store. She had hated the store anyways, though. She bit her lip as she went back to reality, not reminiscing on boring subjects like convenience stores. "Maybe I should start drawing a map for every new doctor I hire," he had said in a sarcastic tone, which Samin picked up quickly. As he said it, she cursed at herself once again. She never had too much self-esteem, really. More like a lack thereof. She scratched her neck and spoke to herself in a quiet tone. "Next thing I know, I'll be a freaking patient." She said this because she herself was not the perfect doctor. Well, no doctors were ever perfect. When House started his limping descent, she trotted loyally(if you look at it from Dr. House's perspective, of course.) behind him, following him, and taking the signal as a cue. When he told her the prescription that he needed, she didn't think at all of it. She didn't even know of his addiction. All she knew was that Vicodin was very helpful with relieving short term pain. All she replied with was a, "Vicodin? Got it." She added a nod, as well. "Oh, and I really am sorry about the incident..." She said sorry yet again, having a feeling it would be ignored again.

Although House maintained his current, pissed off composure, he couldn't help but feel a small touch of surprise and amusement at the new girl's rather colorful language. Perhaps the scared lap dog did have a little bark after all, but he still wasn't about to prepare himself for any kind of bite. Somehow, he got the feeling that that would be asking for a little much. The dog comparisons could have gone on and on the moment she began to follow him. It seemed that despite making a better road block than a doctor, Dr. Edogawa at least had a small sense of being of some use. Her boss made a mental note to himself to keep that in mind. Part of him hoped however that he hadn't hired a doormat on accident.
Her quip about becoming a patient struck him as more likely than funny. It earned no response from him. After all, he had a feeling that she could already imagine what his response would be. Then she echoed his response, as if to carefully confirm it. Another set of words that earned no reaction. The next set, however, was enough to earn at least something. Yet another apology came out and earned itself another annoyed expression.
"You know, the more you keep apologizing, the more tempted I am to never let it go," he stated in a sarcastic manner. He turned his gaze over his shoulder so he could flash his expression at her to get full affect. "Seriously though, the best apology you could do for me right now is in a little orange bottle," That addition was the end of his sarcasm, although it still was meant to taunt. House reverted his attention to what was ahead of him once more so another "incident" wouldn't occur. The dull throb of his agitation had begun to burn away, but Samin's apology wasn't doing him any favors. He remembered briefly his "doormat" thought and did his best not to groan. People do say that first impressions aren't everything. Gregory decided that he was about to put that theory right to the test.

Samin walked along behind him, following him as if he were a tour guide. Dumbly and confusedly. She didn't know what to do, or where to go anyways, so why not follow her superior? It would cost her a lot less time. She sighed quietly as she thought of the possibilities of why she racked her brain so, when she was near certain people. Her heart beat faster when people were too close, and not to mention her face flushed a hell of a lot.
"You know, the more you keep apologizing, the more tempted I am to never let it go." With that comment, she retracted her shoulders a little. She never wanted to have him hate her forever, but didn't trust her mouth, since she said sorry often. She even recalled saying sorry when she was hit over the head. She looked toward him as he gave her a look. When he said the best apology was to get him Vicodin, she nodded. "Of course." She smiled weakly. She caught up with him a little as he turned his head.
She herself wondered where exactly the pharmacy was located, really. She was completely lost, like a deer in the headlights. She sighed as she continued following Dr. House, running a hand through her hair.

Much to House's relief, another obnoxious apology never came. He sighed in slight relief as he rolled his eyes. This woman was definitely going to be different to work with. It was just a good thing that every slot on his immediate team filled, because he had a feeling a shaky little woman like her wouldn't last long directly under him. Actually, that one thought led to another. A wave of curiosity came over him as he thought about that one. Sure, she was clumsy and too jittery for his own tastes, but here she was following him like a loyal, or lost, puppy. A Vicodin prescription wasn't too much of a wacky request. In fact, it was a rather normal one for anyone other than perhaps Cuddy. It was more about how she instantly rolled over, belly up when he had gotten pissed. He couldn't help but wonder if perhaps she was the only person around his department that lacked the back bone to stand up against one of his wacky requests. Part of him itched to put that idea into experimentation, but another part of him reminded himself just how equally intimidating Cuddy could be to her as well.
House prepared to round the corner with a small thought of teasing. Before he hit the turn, he stopped dead in his tracks and leaned around it to make sure no one was standing there like a road block. He pulled back to look over his shoulder with an obviously faked serious expression. "Just wanted to make sure it was safe this time," he mockingly assured her. Then, without another word, he limped off again and carelessly rounded the corner to be within an arm's length of the pharmacy counter.
He stopped once more for a longer moment this time. Now he actually turned his body to look at Samin, seeing how his time leading her through the maze that was Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital was up. His gaze was expectant. If it was anything in her favor, he did believe that odds were that she knew how to get a prescription. Or, at least he hoped.

Samin never noticed the care and attention House was taking, maybe to get better advantage of her when she worked at the hospital. She didn't really want to say anything, seeing as she thought she had said enough, and didn't want to make House more annoyed. She knew he could definitely use a rest by then. She bit her lip as they were heading toward a corner, as House made an abrupt stop. She managed not to run into him by standing on her toes to brake herself.
As he gave her a serious expression, she was confused.
"Just wanted to make sure it was safe this time,"
She blinked, and couldn't help but chuckle, which she stifled into a weird sounding cough. As he picked up speed again, she followed, and saw the Pharmacy. She had almost forgotten that she had to write out the prescription, since she was thinking on ways to not piss off House, or cause him more pain.
Thinking quickly, she took a pad of paper out of her doctor's coat, and luckily, it was the pad that prescriptions were written on. She nearly sighed with relief. She took out a pen that she had in her coat also, and started scribbling information onto it. Soon enough, she ripped the paper free, and smiled to Dr. House. "It was very nice to meet you, Doctor House. Have a very nice day." She handed the pharmacist the prescription, and backed off from the counter.(if I'm supposed to hand it to you, you can edit it XD I don't know how to make them XD)
OOC:
Oh My God. It is SO hard to find out how to write a prescription on the internet XDDD

(OOC: Lol, I can imagine! XD As far as I know, what you did was fine.)
After his little quip, House didn't find a need any more to evaluate every little detail of his new employee's actions. It all seemed rather predictable now, although still interesting. (A quality which would either help or hurt poor Dr. Edogawa in the future.) Instead, he focused on getting his drugs. As the process was taken, he found himself leaning up against the nearby wall to rest his still throbbing muscle. His gaze never shifted from the young woman the entire time, like a cat eying an insect before deciding to pounce. Much to his relief, he found that his staring didn't give him anything else to be concerned about. At least she knew how to write a prescription. It made life a hell of a lot easier for them both.
Although, Gregory was never one to let observations go to waste, even if it should have. Instead, he felt the need to twist his intentions. No effort was ever wasted. As Samin scribbled down information, his gaze began its first real sweep over her entire body. It would surprise anyone to discover that he had somehow neglected to do this the moment he hired her. Again he noticed that she wasn't as filled out as he preferred. Of course, Cuddy was probably the only perfect set of "fun bags" around the hospital. But, he did have to hand it to her; she had a certain cuteness to her. It was childlike almost, but not to childlike to make attraction to it creepy. She was pleasant to look at. (Again, another quality that would either help or hurt her in the future.)
Then, she cut his examination short by turning to him and speaking. He raised a graying brow at the sudden pleasantness her voice had after finishing her job. There was no quivering or stuttering anymore, which did something to peek his intrigue a little more. His line of sight only diverted from her once as the doctor working the pharmacy took the prescription and offered House a suspicious look as he did so. He wasn't surprised though to realize that this was one of the guys who were unfortunate enough to be messed with in the past by one of the unusual diagnostician's crazy schemes for a patient. Rather than acknowledge this however, his attention flashed back to Edogawa.
"You say 'it's a pleasure to meet you' after I practically gave you a panic attack," he observed. "This'll be fun. I've never had a masochist as an employee before," Then again, knowing all that he put his employees through on a regular basis, maybe he was lying. Within the next few seconds, House found his hand reaching out to take the orange pill bottle from the pharmacist's hand before it got the chance to hit the counter. Without looking aside from the subject of his focus, he twisted the lid open and spilled a single dosage into the palm of his hand. His facial expression failed to show his slight pleasure at the feeling. Greg barely batted an eye as he promptly swallowed the pill, more than welcoming its effects.

(Ooc: Sorry for stealing your idea, House-sama… TT_______TT)
Samin let out a really quiet sigh, like she often did subconsciously during the day. It sounded more like a yawn to anyone who cared. But then again, she did yawn often anyways, even if she was not tired. She proceeded to bite her lip, seeing as she had nothing more to say, really. The only thing she could do to possibly not piss off House, was to be silent, and let him just do his thing. That’s what she told herself about most things. Sometimes the best thing she could do, was to shut up. She didn’t really notice that House was staring at her. (It was probably a good thing, since she became very self-conscious and flustered when stared at. And she was already self-conscious.) As she waited for the prescription with Dr. House, she played with her lab coat a little, to pass the time. She thought it would be kind to wait with Dr. House, as something could’ve happened to the prescription, and she knew his day was already miserable.
After a few minutes, Samin attempted to stop her fidgeting rampage, and stood more still. She didn’t want to put attention on herself. With all that fidgeting, she could have been mistaken for some schizophrenic person, even if she had a doctor’s coat. (No one ever thinks of that when witnessing something.) As she spoke, she saw House actually seem like he was paying attention. She didn’t expect an immediate response, since the pharmacist had given House his prescription.
Aaand, it’s gone… She said to herself in her mind. She was talking about the perhaps five second ‘moment’. To her it was kind of a bonding moment, since she herself was particularly very bad at bonding with people, but it means very much when someone bonds with her. Basically strengthening friendship. She still smiled, as House eyed the pharmacist, oblivious to the suspicious look the pharmacist had given House.
"You say 'it's a pleasure to meet you' after I practically gave you a panic attack," he observed. "This'll be fun. I've never had a masochist as an employee before," She scratched her head sheepishly, and added a sort of silly-apologetic grin as he spoke. His speech was clear, a bit hoarse, yet it was very smooth. “It’s always a pleasure, to meet someone new.” Now she had rid herself of the silly grin, and had a bright smile. She watched as he immediately opened the thing of vicodin, and swallowed one dosage.
